Farm-to-Table
An abundance of fresh, locally-grown produce is found from spring through fall at farmers markets, roadside stands and grocers throughout the county.
The push toward fresh, locally produced, locally consumed foods includes salad greens and specialty vegetables grown year-round in area greenhouses. You’ll find these items at local restaurants and in produce aisles.
Shopping Racine County farmers markets is an adventure. You’ll want to arrive early to see what’s new each week! You’ll find everything from honey to home-baked bread. Some locations offer cooking demonstrations and live entertainment. The farmers are happy to share samples and preparation tips.
